The Local State of Emergency has been extended for an additional 30 days.
The Vessel Speed Emergency Order has been changed:
Emergency Order for power driven vessels to operate at no more than 5 miles per hour within 600 feet from shore on Great Sodus Bay has been issued starting at 12:01 a.m. on August 19th, 2017.
The Emergency Order will stay in effect for five (5) days unless rescinded earlier by the Chief Executive of the Village of Sodus Point. Failure to obey this order is a misdemeanor, a criminal offense, punishable by law under New York State Executive Law, Article 2-B. The orders can be viewed on www.soduspoint.info
The following Emergency Orders have been rescinded:
The Emergency Order to keep sand bags in place to protect property from wave action has been lifted. It is strongly urged that they be left in place along the shoreline.
The Emergency Order closing Greig Street from Wolcott Street east has been lifted and the street is open to normal traffic. Be cautious that some pumps are still in place as a precautionary action.
