As we have had happen a few times now, the paving has been pushed to next week. They will pave in the original sequence.
· Greig Street – loop to Clover Street
· Wickham Blvd
· Bay Street
· Greig Street – Clover to Willow Park
This week the new parking area in the north municipal lot will be paved as well as all of the driveways that have binder down. That work is expected to begin tomorrow. The electronic panel boxes for the pump stations will begin to be placed tomorrow as well. The other crews are continuing to work through the punch list items.
In addition to paving next week, the pump station wiring will continue, concrete work will happen next Monday as will more landscaping work.
This Sunday, August 15th from noon until 2, the Wayne County Youth Fishing Derby Awards ceremony will take place at the Fire Hall. Everyone is invited to this exciting ceremony.
On Saturday, August 21st the Sodus Community E-Waste Collection is being held from 9-noon at the Village of Sodus DPW Barns at 39 Gaylord Street. This is being sponsored by the Village of Sodus Point, the Village of Sodus, the Town of Sodus, Reliant, Sodus Rotary and Sodus Lions Pride Lioness Club.
On Tuesday, August 31st there will be a Public Information Session regarding the proposed Lake Ontario National Marine Sanctuary off of our shorelines. Two members of the Advisory Council will be at the Fire Hall at 7pm for a brief presentation followed by a question and answer session. This is a great opportunity to learn more about what is proposed and the timeline to move this forward. This could be a good economic driver for our village. The Sunshine Auto Parade will be held on Saturday, September 4th at 6pm. Get your cars cleaned up for the smooth roads. Fireworks will follow at 9pm.
