NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

            PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that, pursuant to Section 20 of the Municipal Home Rule Law, a public hearing will be held by the Village Board of Trustees of the Village of Sodus Point on September 17, 2026, at 5:45 p.m. at the Sodus Point Village Hall, 8356 Bay Street, Sodus Point, New York 14555, to consider the enactment of Proposed Local Law No. 2 of 2026 of the Village of Sodus Point, which repeals and replaces the Village of Sodus Point Flood Damage Prevention Law, codified as Chapter 107 of the Village Code, to adopt the new Flood Insurance Study (FIS) and Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) establishing base flood elevations for Wayne County. The Local Law adopts the new FIS and FIRMs into the Village's Flood Damage Prevention Law to meet the standards of Sections 60.3(d) and (e) of the NFIP regulations so that the Village may maintain eligibility for participation in the National Flood Insurance Program.

            All persons interested shall be given an opportunity to be heard.  Proposed Local Law No. 2 of 2026 is available for public inspection during regular business hours at the Village Clerk’s office and on the Village of Sodus Point website at https://soduspoint.info.
