
VILLAGE OF SODUS POINT - NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
2025 NY FORWARD GRANT APPLICATION
In accordance with the requirements of the NY Forward Round 4 application process, the Village of Sodus Point will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the Sodus Point Fire Hall, 8364 Bay Street, Sodus Point, NY from 5:00 to 7:00PM:
The purpose of the public meeting is to provide residents, business owners and community stakeholders with an opportunity to comment on the Village of Sodus Point’s proposed application under the NY Forward Round 4 Program. Topics will include the Village’s vision for the continued revitalization of the downtown, identification of potential transformative projects and the proposed project boundary area. Attendees will be given the opportunity to provide feedback that will inform the content of the application. A zoom link will be provided on the Village’s website prior to the meeting on October 15, 2025.
The Sodus Point Fire Hall is ADA accessible. Anyone requiring special accommodation, including translation or interpretation services, are encouraged to contact the Village Office a minimum of five days prior to the public meeting at 315-483-9881.
The Village of Sodus Point Downtown Vision Statement will be an important topic of discussion. The current Vision Statement is included below for your review. Please come prepared with suggestions for changes or in support of the vision statement as currently written.
VISION STATEMENT
“Downtown Sodus Point will be a welcoming commercial district and four season activity hub nestled in the heart of the village waterfront. The pedestrian scale and cohesive appearance of the buildings and landscape will complement the traditional setting and history while cherishing the beauty of the waterfront location. The mix of restaurants, shops, water-related and other businesses, and recreational activities will contribute to the enjoyment of the waterfront, providing an engaging atmosphere for all visitors while respecting and supporting the daily life of village residents.”
