LEGAL: Sodus Point Zoning Board of Appeals Public Hearing Notice 9-28-26
The Sodus Point Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Monday September 28th, 2026 at 7:00 P.M. via zoom video conferencing and at the Village Hall at 8356 Bay Street those interested can follow instructions at soduspoint.info to discuss the following applications:
- Area Variance, Brandon Martin, 7250 Route 14, Constructing a 930.5 square foot addition 17’ from edge of breakwater where 25’ is required and a 781.6 square foot deck with second story deck ontop, 13’ from edge of breakwater to the east and 8.5’ to the north where 25’ is required from both. (CODE 190-11)
- Area Variance, Scott Briggs, 8474 Greig Street, to construct a second story deck per plot drawing with 2 portions one 6’x15 and a second 9’x9’ of which will be 9’ from edge of breakwall where 25’ is required allowing for 44% lot coverage where 30% is allowed. (CODE 190-11).
- Area Variance, Tom Donahue, 7587 Lakestones Drive, to construct a 24’x36’ pole barn with a 8’x24’ covered porch 7.5’ from the rear property line where 12.5’ is required. (CODE 190-11)
- Area Variance, Tony Elwood, 8538 Gardeniere Lane, to demolish and reconstruct single family building on existing footprint. Elevating first floor to 252.00 and adding 2nd story. The front of the building will be moved 14' from center line where 6.6' is currenty, 2.8' from east property line where 5' is required and 4' from west property line where 5' is required. Lot coverage will be 35% where 35.3% currently and 30% is allowed. (CODE 190-11)
