LEGAL: Sodus Point Planning Board Special Meeting Notice 9-14-2026

The Sodus Point Planning Board will hold a pre meeting workshop on Monday September 14th, 2026 at 6:30 P.M. via zoom video conferencing from the Village Hall at 8356 Bay Street those interested can follow instructions at www.soduspoint.info to observe the board discuss following applications the Special Meeting will follow:

1. Preliminary Site Plan Review,  Bruce Carey, 8443 Bay Street, to construct front and rear addition 74’x50’ total building dimensions onto Bar/night club per site plan and stamped plans.  (CODE 190-49).
2. Preliminary Site Plan Review, Scott Briggs, 8474 Greig Street, to construct a second story deck per plot drawing with 2 portions one 6’x15 and a second 9’x9’ of which will be 9’ from edge of breakwall where 25’ is required allowing for 44% lot coverage where 30% is allowed.  (CODE 190-11).
3. Preliminary Site Plan Review, Tom Donahue, 7587 Lakestones Drive, to construct a 24’x36’ pole barn with a 8’x24’ covered porch 7.5’ from the rear property line where 12.5’ is required. (CODE 190-11, 190-49)
4. Preliminary Site Plan Review, Tony Elwood,  8538 Gardeniere Lane, to demolish and reconstruct single family building on existing footprint. Elevating first floor to 252.00 and adding 2^nd story. The front of the building will be moved 14' from center line where 6.6' is currenty, 2.8' from east property line where 5' is required and 4' from west property line where 5' is required. Lot coverage will be 35% where 35.3% currently and 30% is allowed. (CODE 190-11, 190-49)

The public is invited to speak on these applications. 

1. Final Site Plan Review,  Alexander Bean, 8629 Greig Street, to renovate and raise existing cottage. Reconfigure waterfront 1st story and 2nd story decks reconstructing 0' from breakwall where 25' is required and 1.5' from east property line where 5' is required allowing for 53% lot coverage where 30% is allowed (Current Lot coverage 53%). (CODE 190-49)
2. Final Site Plan Review, Mark Toor, 8151 Morley Rd, to construct a 32'x50' Pole Barn Structure per drawing.  (CODE 190-11, 190-49).
