As part of the Seaway Trail, a new historic marker has been placed downtown along the Bay Walk and adjacent to Oscar Fuerst ball field. The historic marker is part of a new travel campaign and brochure that identifies the role this region played in the French & Indian War.
The Great Lakes Seaway Trail is 518 miles of byway along Lake Erie, the Niagara River, Lake Ontario and St. Lawrence River, one of America’s Byways and a National Recreation Trail.
The Seaway Trail attracts over 150,000 visitors each year.
