The Lake Ontario outflows are now being set by Plan 2014 plus 200 cm/s. This decision was made to eliminate the water held back over the summer because of the drought. At this point we are about 6 inches above the long term average. The forecast calls for us to be about average into the first quarter next year. However the possible range in the 6 month forecast in very large and favors the high side of the average. We’ll have to wait and see what winter brings.

The contractor on the REDI Stormwater project continues to address remaining items slowly. The missing pump was installed in the Wickham Blvd pump station; it still needs to be programmed. Once that is complete a thorough test of the system will be performed by the engineer and village staff. That will include training of village staff. The paving sub-contractor has work remaining to remove a few of the puddles that collect during a rain event.
A revised design for the Central Avenue stormwater project has been discussed with the residents in the area. We are waiting for updated plans and will then meet with the contractor to determine next steps and timing.
