Brush pickup for next week has been cancelled. Please leave your piles in place and they will be picked up on the 25th.
The Lake Ontario outflows will be reduced at noon today. This reduction is to facilitate boat removal in Lake St. Lawrence. This is an action that is taken place most years for this purpose. Outflows will be restored on Monday, October 11 at noon. We will see only very minor impacts from this event.
NYS is following through on the Broadband Connectivity Act that was enacted earlier this year. They have contracted with ECC Technologies to survey all new Yorkers regarding their connectivity. Please complete the survey which is found at the following link: https://www.empirestatebroadband.com/
The paving of Wickham Blvd and Margaretta Road was completed this week by the contractor. Next week the highway department will begin work on the shoulders of both roads and the driveways aprons that need to be completed.
The NASP Gazebo is being built in the ballfield and should be completed in the next few days. Once the gazebo is up some plantings will be done around it. Power will be run to it. Once these are complete that portion of the field will be cleaned up and reseeded again. This gazebo will be a great addition to our village.
The final beach grass planting on the Beach Dune project has been postponed. The warm weather has delayed the dormancy of the grasses. We now expect to receive them in early November and will get them planted shortly thereafter. This is the final step before closing out that project.
There are still many punch list items remaining for the Stormwater project. The paver was here this week and made a few adjustments. There is more to do. The landscapers are expected here next week to tackle some of the remaining items on their list. We have no schedule yet for the final pump installation. We do have the pumps set to run when needed. Once they are all in place we will do some testing and make any adjustments needed.
Feel free to call or email with any questions or concerns.
