The Village of Sodus Point Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on December 9, 2014
at 7:00PM in the Village Hall at 8356 Bay Street, Sodus Point, New York 14555 on the following applications:

An area variance request by Sue Bassage of 8313 South Shore Road, Sodus Point, NY 14555 to build a
6’ x 28’ enclosed north porch (deck) 20’ from front property line when 25’ is required. Adjacent property owners are: NORTH- Sodus Bay; SOUTH-Village of Sodus Point; EAST- Watt; WEST-Reaves.

An area variance request by Mary Wynne of 8569 Wickham Blvd., Sodus Point, NY 14555 to place a
28’ x 80’ modular home on her lot, 24’6” from front property line when 25’ is required and 11’11” from Second Street ( another front) when 25’ is required. Also, build a 26’ x 34’ garage 8’7” from front line when 25’ is required and 2’6” from rear line when 12.5’ is required. Adjacent property owners are: NORTH- Converse; SOUTH-Sodus Bay; EAST- Weidmann; WEST- Hookstra, Buisch.

An area variance request by Pam Turner of 8624 Greig Street, Sodus Point, NY 14555 to build (after demolition) a 10’3” x 24’4” two story south addition, 1’7” from side line when 5’ is required and 23’5” from waters edge when 25’ is required and build a new 12’ x 34’ single story north addition 3’7” from east line when 5’ is required and 2’8” from west line when 5’ is required. Adjacent property owners are: NORTH-Thiel, Vanderwall; SOUTH- Sodus Bay; EAST- Quigley, Trawitz; WEST- Whitbourne.

An area variance request by Michael Corke of 7558 Seventh Street, Sodus Point, NY 14555 to build a 28’ x 48’ modular home with a 16’ x 24’ east garage, 13’ from Second Street when 25’ is required and 16’9” from Wickham Blvd. when 25’ is required. Adjacent property owners are: NORTH-Stern; SOUTH- Frank, Acker, Frank; EAST- Malacuso, Colacino; WEST- Sanguedolce.

Coal Trestle Plaque installed at Sodus Bay

Spearheaded by the Neighborhood Association of Sodus Point, a new historic plaque commemorating the Coal Trestle has been now been installed.
